Set Goals to Market, Promote and Sell Your Book or Novel.

Set yourself a goal right now of how many books you would like to sell in the next twelve months. While we would encourage you to be bold and optimistic, you also have to ensure your goal is realistic to you. This is because if you begin with a goal that you don’t feel is achievable, unconsciously you will be making it more difficult for yourself. Once your first goal is achieved you can set new, higher, more challenging goals.

If you set a target to sell 500 books in the next year, help yourself achieve this by setting smaller goals for each month. For example, 10 books in the first month, 30 in the next and so on. Do not fall into the trap of just dividing your target by twelve, because as with most things, sales will probably start off slow and grow quicker towards the end of the year. Continue reading
